Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

Al-Jabir is committed to publishing original, honest, and high-quality research. This statement explains what we expect from everyone involved in the publishing process: authors, reviewers, and editors, and how we handle problems if they come up. Our policies follow the core practices set out by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

For Authors

  • Submit only original work. Do not submit the same paper to more than one journal at the same time.
  • Clearly cite and credit the work of others. Do not copy text, data, or ideas without proper attribution.
  • List everyone who made a real contribution to the work as an author, and no one who didn't.
  • Disclose any funding sources or conflicts of interest that could affect how readers view the work.
  • If you discover a significant error in your published work, tell the editors promptly so it can be corrected.

For Reviewers

  • Review submissions fairly, objectively, and on their scientific merit alone.
  • Keep submitted work confidential; do not share or use it before it is published.
  • Disclose any conflict of interest (personal, financial, or professional) that could affect your judgment, and step back from reviewing if needed.
  • Provide constructive, specific feedback that helps authors improve their work.

For Editors

  • Make publication decisions based on the quality and originality of the work, without bias toward an author's identity, background, or affiliation.
  • Protect the confidentiality of submitted work during the review process.
  • Take plagiarism, data fabrication, and other misconduct seriously, and investigate any concerns raised.
  • Ensure reviewers are qualified and free of significant conflicts of interest.

Handling Misconduct

If we become aware of possible misconduct, such as plagiarism, duplicate submission, data manipulation, or undisclosed conflicts of interest, we will investigate following COPE's guidelines. This may involve contacting the author(s), requesting clarification, or involving their institution. Depending on the outcome, we may reject a submission, issue a correction, or retract a published article.

Corrections and Retractions

If an honest error is found after publication, we will issue a correction. If a publication is found to be seriously flawed or fraudulent, we will retract it, with a clear notice explaining why, rather than quietly removing it.
